Esta historia real cuenta cómo, veinte años después que las tropas inglesas murieran para defender la democracia en la Guerra de Malvinas, un ciudadano británico se vería forzado a huir de las Islas Malvinas, para escapar de la corrupción política y amenazas de muerte, en búsqueda de democracia y libertad de expresión en Argentina. Cuando un biólogo inglés se atrevió a relacionar la muerte de cinco millones de pingüinos por falta de alimento, con la pesca comercial, que estaba enriqueciendo al sector más poderoso de las Islas Malvinas, se desató un juego de muerte del gato y el ratón. Los intentos fallidos de deportar, mandar a la cárcel y matar a Bingham, llevaron al Gobierno de las Islas Malvinas a la Suprema Corte; ésta dictaminó que el Gobernador, el Fiscal de la Corona, el Primer Mandatario y el Concejo Directivo habían cometido actos abusivos de los derechos humanos y que eran moral e inconstitucionalmente indefendibles. Cuando el Gobierno de las Islas Malvinas declaró que no iban a detenerse por un fallo de la Suprema Corte, Bingham se vio obligado a buscar seguridad y libertad de expresión en Argentina.
