Producto, síntoma y epítome narrativo de la modernidad, el policial debió asimilar ciertos tópicos de la posmodernidad para actualizar y legitimar su práctica narrativa. En textos como La novela de mi vida de Leonardo Padura, Los detectives salvajes de Roberto Bolaño o Nombre falso de Ricardo Piglia no han desaparecido el enigma ni la voluntad de esclarecerlo, sino que ambos se han desplazado a su propia textualidad. Este libro se ocupa de una literatura que resulta del cruce entre el relato policial y la metaficción, de su asimilación recíproca y de su recepción afortunada en ámbitos diversos.Héctor Fernando Vizcarra (México DF, 1980) se doctoró en letras en la UNAM. Es autor de Detectives literarios en Latinoamérica: el caso Padura (2013) y de la novela El filo diestro del durmiente (2014), y coeditó Crimen y ficción. Narrativa literaria y audiovisual sobre la violencia en América Latina (2015). Es miembro del Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire de Recherches sur les Amériques (Université de Haute-Bretagne Rennes 2) y del Seminario de Estudios sobre Narrativa Latinoamericana Contemporánea de la UNAM, donde realiza una estancia de investigación posdoctoral en el Centro de Investigaciones sobre América Latina y el Caribe.
