Ana Cristina Gómez Pérez enseña derecho registral inmobiliario, sucesiones, familia, hipoteca y fideicomisos, junto con seminarios especializados en la Escuela de Derecho de la Universidad de Puerto Rico. Su docencia combina rigor técnico y compromiso práctico, formando juristas capaces de abordar los retos contemporáneos de la tenencia de la tierra, el derecho de superficie y la planificación urbana.Cuenta con un sólido trasfondo académico —B.A. (Pontificia Bolivariana), J.D. (UPR), LL.M. (Carlos III de Madrid), doctorado en la Universidad Complutense, y diplomado en derecho registral inmobiliario (Autónoma de Madrid)— que le permite ofrecer una visión comparada y actualizada del derecho inmobiliario.Ha investigado y publicado sobre hipoteca, derecho de superficie y tenencia segura de vivienda tras desastres, con aportaciones recientes como La Hipoteca en el Derecho Inmobiliario Puertorriqueño (2023). Su trabajo se extiende más allá del aula a proyectos de acceso a la justicia, capacitación para profesionales y comunidades desplazadas, y presentaciones en conferencias y foros públicos sobre la recuperación post-desastre y el desarrollo sostenible.Este libro refleja su compromiso con un derecho de superficie claro, accesible y adaptado a las necesidades reales de Puerto Rico, ofreciendo al lector una herramienta esencial para la práctica, la planificación y la formulación de políticas públicas. 10
