El casamiento engañoso es un relato de Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra. En esta obra, Campuzano, el personaje principal, es víctima de una profunda desesperación provocada por la burla que le hace la mujer a la que él también pensaba burlar. Numerosos pensamientos y emociones se enfrentan en su mente, de los que pronto se empezará a recuperar. Sin embargo, ignora que doña Estefanía, así se llama su amante, le ha contagiado una enfermedad venérea de graves efectos físicos y psicológicos. Durante su estancia en el hospital Campuzano escucha los coloquios de los perros, que por inverosímiles, causarán gran impresión en su vida y los transcribe, maravillado con la sabiduría de los animales. Está convencido de que su vida ha sido una vida de perros. El casamiento engañoso nos remite al Coloquio de los perros del propio Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra.
