Se realizó un estudio de tipo observacional descriptivo transversal, en el Hogar de Ancianos del Área de Salud Tamarindo del Municipio Florencia, durante el período que abarca de junio de 2018 a mayo de 2019. El problema científico abordado fue: ¿Cuálesson los factores de riesgo de la calidad de vida geriátrica? Con el objetivo de describir los factores de riesgo de la calidad de vida geriátrica del CMF No 5. El universo fue de 25 pacientes y la muestra coincide con el universo. Se utilizó como técnica de recolección de la información la guía de encuesta y la historia clínica individual de cada paciente. Losresultados se expresaron en tablas quedando que el grupo de edades que predominó fue el de 75 y más años para un 36,58 %, el sexo que más incidió fue el masculino con un 59,77%, en cuanto a actividad física un 65,97% la realizaban de forma insuficiente, segúnhábitos alimenticios el 57,7 % mantenían una alimentación inadecuada, en lo referente a hábitos tóxicos el 58,7 % consumían cafeína , según régimen de descansose ilustró que el 53,09 % no tienen un régimen de descanso adecuadoy del universo de pacientes en estudio la mitad padecen de cardiopatías .
