Eighty Days of Faith is a true story based on the prematurebirth of my son, Ryan, and his eighty-day stay in the hospital.I learned a lot about faith in those long days at the hospital.Hebrews 11:1 says, 'Now faith is the substance of thingshoped for, the evidence of things not seen.' When our sonwas born, weighing only two pounds, six ounces, we were given little hopethat he would survive. It’s easy to say that we have faith when things aregoing well. When we are faced with some hard realities, sometimes thatfaith is hard to find. This story has been on my heart for many years. In 2005 I took a five-weekwriting class in which I had to write something. What came out of that classwas the first chapter of this book. The class instructor encouraged me tofinish the book. Finally, after eight years of writing, rewriting, putting it awayfor months at a time, and starting again, the book is finished.I hope it will inspire you to keep the faith, even in the dark days. Thank youfor taking an interest in my story.Blessings,Rhonda TommerPhoto by Samantha Tommer
