Ingeniously structured with bold narratives and witty language, the text reveals subtle profundity beneath its straightforward presentation, embodying a thought-provoking and admonitory artistic style.《韩非子》语言犀利,语气专断,表达直截了当,富有辩证和逻辑思维。 Characterized by incisive language, an assertive tone, and direct expression, Han Feizi exemplifies dialectical and logical reasoning. Han Feizi adeptly employs dialectics and argumentative techniques, rigorously dissecting politics, ethics, jurisprudence, and other domains through rigorous logical reasoning and penetrating insights. Focused on practical societal issues and challenges, he rejected Confucian idealism centered on abstract virtue and Daoist escapism, advocating instead for ‌legal governance‌ and ‌institutional reforms‌ as remedies for societal ills. Han Fei (ca. 280-233 BCE), later revered as ‌Han Feizi‌ or ‌Hanzi‌, was a noble from the state of Han during the Warring States period. A disciple of ‌Xunzi‌ alongside ‌Li Si‌, he devoted himself to ‌Legalist doctrines‌ centered on penal codes (xingming) and statecraft (fashu), emerging as the ‌preeminent figure‌ of the Legalist school. Han Fei synthesized the ‌Law‌ (fa) of Shang Yang, the ‌Statecraft‌ (shu) of Shen Buhai, and the ‌Authority‌ (shi) of Shen Dao, crystallizing Legalist philosophy into a cohesive system. ‌Law‌ emphasized the universality and enforceability of statutes; ‌Statecraft‌ encompassed strategies to govern officials, consolidate power, and implement policies; ‌Authority‌ underscored the ruler’s political supremacy to ensure legal efficacy and state stability. Through this triad, Han Fei articulated a pragmatic vision of governance where codified norms, tactical administration, and centralized power converge.
