作者是一个北京知青，一九六九年初中毕业，毕业后就下乡到了黑龙江生产建设兵团，在兵团度过了九年半的日子。几乎每一个人都想写下自己年青时经历过的故事，尤其是寄身于一个大的历史运动的人，更是如此。知青就是这样一代人！说起来已是遥远的事了，今年是这些人下乡五十年的日子。五十年前，她们顶着土篮子在唱：大雁落脚的地方，草梅花又香...... 三十年前，她们在办展览，叫个《魂系黑土地。她们回忆着下乡的日子~~旗猎猎，鼓喧喧！二十年前的聚会，她们还在笑自己丰乳肥臀大秧歌儿。今年是她们下乡的五十年了，还是老泪纵横，载歌载舞。这代人的一生啊！真是波澜壮阔！如今她们是老了！但是一个人如果不能建立自己，她就没有资格称老。这里写的就是在兵团时平常人的平常日子，九年半的日子，大约就是这样了。书分两部，第一部《白雪关山》和第二部《大雁飞过》。 3
