Au cours des dernières décennies, le système d’évaluation des compétences cliniques a connu une profonde évolution en faveur de méthodes plus proches de la pratique médicale. Ces approches visent à accroître la validité et la fiabilité de l’évaluation clinique par rapport aux examens écrits et oraux conventionnels. Parmi ces techniques, l’Évaluation Clinique Objectivée en Stations Multiples (ECOSM) est l’équivalent de l’Examen Clinique Objectivé Structuré (ECOS). L’ECOSM implique une série de stations où les candidats doivent résoudre des problèmes dans des délais spécifiques. Chaque compétence est décomposée en tâches facilement évaluables, permettant d’évaluer la réalisation des objectifs liés aux connaissances, aux compétences et même à certains aspects du professionnalisme. Cet outil équitable et authentique est reconnu pour son efficacité, sa fiabilité et sa validité dans les évaluations cliniques.
