O objetivo do meu livro é dar uma visão das economias de escala e das economias de âmbito - dois dos tipos básicos de ganhos de eficiência. Não existem trabalhos jurídicos ou económicos que apresentem a economia básica subjacente a estes tipos fundamentais de ganhos de eficiência de uma forma acessível aos advogados e ao público em geral. O principal valor do meu livro é contribuir para a concetualização jurídica das economias de escala e das economias de gama: fornece orientações sobre a sua natureza e aplicações para efeitos de doutrina jurídica e de trabalho dos tribunais em processos antitrust.
