My name is Ahuva Chachasvili I live in Israel. I am a cyber security analyst and former computer technician and programmer developer. I am involved in several poetry groups to include Cut from the same cloth and my own group 'Global poetry legacy.' I have been a moderator and active in promoting poetry that illuminates causes near and dear to my heart. Those include equality and justice as well as children’s rights. I’m presently studying music, as well as many creative ventures combining music and poetry. This is my first book of poetry by Wildfire Publications. My favorite style of poetry would be dark. Most of my poems are based on real events (non-fiction) and philosophy. I love to enter into the character’s mind giving life and energy to my words. My writing is not limited to poems. I have also done my own quotes which I designed as a digital book. I write in three languages: English, Hebrew, and Spanish. Some of my poems are written in English and Hebrew. My Hebrew poems about my dad were recently recognized and published in a popular Israelite magazine. I have recently become a 'Guardian of the Quill,' which is a result of being seen as someone advancing poetry and giving back to this noble endeavor. I have a love for the arts, particularly photography; capturing nature’s awesomeness, admiring its beauty, and enjoying the brightness of the sky, which garnishes it with sun, moon, and stars. To me light is the beauty that makes the world Paradise on earth. One great passion which I have that always was a dream, but is lately coming to reality, is my love for music. From childhood, I really enjoyed music in all its fullness and always dreamt of making my own music, taking my writing to another dimension and giving it a new allure via music.

  • Polishing the Silver
    Jennifer Chrystie
‘There’s a touch of both Dickinson and Larkin in Jennifer Chrystie’s mature exhumation of the tales and tropes of family. Figures who could so easily flit like phantoms in her well honed poetry are palpably enjoying an after-life in the poet’s ability to redeem through deep understanding. The collection arcs from, at one extreme, the parsimonies of the household, to the transce...

  • One Kiss
    Edward V Bonner
The very title of Edward V. Bonner's first volume of poetry, One Kiss (Ingram, 2015), suggests some ways in which the poems inside balance the universal with the particular. Most of the poems examine the themes of beauty and risk, pleasure and danger, in the context of one of three kinds of relationships: to romantic partners, to the spiritual world, and to the world of nature....

  • The Truth about A
    Maureen O'Shaughnessy
In his interpretation of Antigone, Seamus Heaney says, ‘Nobody can be sure they are always right.’ Maureen O’Shaughnessy’s The Truth about A further attends to this idea through various readings of the myth as portrayed by Sophocles, Brecht, Ted Hughes, Anne Carson and, most particularly, Euripides.
