《艺术的话语政治》是作者第一本海外中文艺术评论文集，收录了大部分国内无法出版的艺术评论，其中三篇写于新冠肆虐时期的纽约山中。文集内容包括1989年后六四艺术评论、关于艺术与公民社会及底层社会的讨论、关于雷锋摄影的文化批评、为友人在国内无法出版的书写的序、与高行健的对话等。这些艺术评论、书序和访谈的写作，当时身处中国的经济崛起与新1984并起的语境，行文附着了希望与恐惧的文字心跳。这些文字是在'列宁主义的国家资本主义'进程中留下的思想痕迹，而今再无可能重写。而在文字中每每闪烁的对中国变革的期待，至今都悉数落空。然这一代人的文化复兴的冲顶之心从未泯灭。政治和经济陷于死局之际，正是文化冲刺之时。现在似乎才算真正的开始。
