With a total area of 675 square kilometers, it administers 9 towns, 2 townships, and 281 administrative villages. According to the Seventh National Population Census, its population stands at 505,000. Recognized as one of China''s first batch of ''Millennium Ancient Counties,'' it holds titles as a Historical and Cultural City of Hebei Province, Provincial Civilized County, Provincial Garden City, and Provincial Clean City.Steeped in historical significance, Zhao County (ancient name Zhaozhou) boasts over 2,500 years of documented history, having served as a prefectural and provincial seat for more than 1,800 years. He has served for many years in townships within the eastern pear-growing areas of Zhao County, later working at the County Party Committee’s Publicity Department and County Bureau of Culture and Tourism. Currently employed at the Party School of the Zhao County Committee of the CPC, he dedicates his spare time to researching Zhao County’s Party history and traditional cultural heritage while fulfilling daily administrative duties.
