本書是一本臺灣省立工學院校友紀念冊：臺灣省立工學院老校友會2019年舊金山重聚紀念共分四個獨立單元，分別是陳超主編之相冊、劉杭生主編之微笑盒(SmileBox) 、及孫孟澄主編之通訊錄、及吳治主編之文字紀念冊。關於臺灣省立工學院：隨著抗戰勝利，本省光復，許多原為日人所創設的學校紛紛改制。現位於台南市大學路一號的國立成功大學原為日人所設之高等工業學校，亦於民國三十四年光復後改為省立台南工業專科學校。首任校長為王石安博士，時值八月。翌年十月本校升格為臺灣省立工學院。特此銘謝重聚文字印刷本紀念冊出版資助人陳柱華與黃漢琳賢伉儷、1957級校友基金會、重聚主協辦人、及紀念冊所有作者。沒有他們的幫助與合作，就不會有這本印刷版紀念冊。臺灣省立工學院老校友會2019年舊金山重聚(冠頂)臺島一流著名黌，灣峽隔海神州東，省省精英負笈來，立人培材良學風。工欲善技先利器，學分多系供讀攻，院內教授陣容強，老練識富擅啟蒙。校園四年同窗過，友緣未因畢業終，會合不易散四方，舊侶漸成耄媼翁。金風送爽集加州，山水難阻心火熊，重溫昔情喜不禁，聚暢半月樂融融。 3
