《韦尔吉的城堡主夫人》 为十三世纪以八音节韵文体所写成的法国宫廷文学(littérature courtoise)杰作，全长958行诗，作者佚名。 故事的主旨在讲述守密的重要性。故事地点位于勃艮第的宫廷，韦尔吉的城堡主夫人接受了骑士的表白，但是夫人言明两人的关系必须保密。之后两人的隐密爱情甜蜜了好一段时间。然而好景不常，公爵夫人因忌妒心与报复心故，故意将她知道两人隐密恋爱的秘密泄漏给韦尔吉的城堡主夫人听，导致这对恋人先后自斨身亡，公爵在得知详情后，在盛怒之下将公爵夫人处死。 这个悲剧收场的爱情故事在当时的法国宫廷里广为流传，只要从仍有22个手稿保存至今即可窥见一斑。甚至在十五世纪和十六世纪时还出现了不同改写的版本,其中最有名的便是玛格莉特·德·纳瓦拉(Marguerite de Navarre)的《七日谈》中的第七十个短篇故事(70e nouvelle)。 作者继出版《欧卡森与妮可蕾特》、《尼姆大车队》古法文、现代法文以及中文译文三文对照版后，将属于宫廷文学的杰作《韦尔吉的城堡夫人》(La châtelaine de Vergy) 也以同样的三文对照版形式呈现，方便读者对原文的理解。
