2020年3月，随着新冠疫情的爆发，中国的政治环境和民粹气氛，呈现出前所未有的恶化趋势。这让我做出了再一次踏上环球旅程的决定。即使那是在一个全世界都在拒绝旅行者的'特殊时刻'。这本书记录了从2020年3月到2022年3月，这整整两年的时间里，我从南亚到东欧到北美，又从拉美到西非到中东，最后又从西欧回到南亚的旅程。在这段旅程里，我不仅得以在这个人类社会近乎停摆下来的时刻，欣赏到了这个世界难得的寂静和他的孤独之美。同时我也亲历了不同国家地区，不同政治制度，不同宗教信仰，在疫情肆虐的考验之下，政治与人性，民主与民粹，权力与权利，纠结缠斗在一起的复杂局面。作为一个有着8年环球旅行经历的旅行者，我曾经无数次的被这个世界上从未停止迸射的无数善良和质朴的光芒深深的温暖过。但同时在人性的汪洋之中，我也频频的感受到了比比皆是，荡涤不尽的丑恶和卑劣所释放的寒凉。鞭笞丑恶和质疑世俗，不是为了否定和颠覆现时所拥有的美好。而恰恰是为了对美好的坚守和追求。我只想以一个旅行者的视角，把我所见的世界记录下来；作为一个渺小的星球过客，把我的点滴感怀固执的抛洒在这浩瀚的尘埃之中；以忠于灵魂的名义，证明我曾带着我的偏激和真诚从这个人间走过。
