The balance of the work consists of histories of 30 founding families. The author has also added 2 appendixes of mini genealogies of another 17 plus person to this copy along with a section dedicated to the names of Ministers of the Society of Friends and their companions who visited Nantucket from 1664 to 1847. The index mentions approximately 1,500 individuals.
