我一直喜欢黄昏......我一直相信黄昏是一个谜，一个永恒的无解之谜；它那浑黄混沌的调子迷醉、迷离、销魂，永远无法参透；它意味着万有的开启和某种未知的临界。有人葬身于酩酊的黄昏，有人则从黄昏的落日中死而复生......《黄昏使徒》是从我的一篇小说《楼兰黄昏》中得到的灵感，我一直喜欢黄昏，要是深研究，倒说不出个所以然；我相信黄昏是一种终结，也是一种开始，它是一个临界点，同样让世界相连--文字的世界、现实世界、未知的世界，要是可以，它们中应该都存在黄昏；在黄昏中，迎着夕阳出发，穿越现实与未知的边界，不必担心是活着还是生活，不必害怕考试还是审核。我从小到大是害怕考试和审核的，因为它们会使我产生一种不可抗拒的心里压力，尤其是在读过80后韩寒的《三重门》之后。很多问题是需要去反思的，一种文学的反思、一种良知的反思，一种爱的反思。这也是我创作小说的初衷。伤害是一把利刃，当你刺痛别人时，也会割伤自己，与其去刺痛自己虚弱的灵魂，不如用爱去包容、去滋润。要知道带着恐惧、害怕、仇视在这个洪流中活着是很累的。我是害怕活得很累的，不过这不代表我没有吃苦的精神，中国人向来是能吃苦的，但不要让吃苦成为一种惯性。吃苦是实现人生'活着'意义的先决条件，吃苦是为了对追求的理想和价值的一种责任。我不想在生命到达终点的时候像小说中的主人公一样，带着遗憾与世长眠。
