'本书再现1644年-1662年发生在大明与大清之间的战争,讲述那些鲜为人知的历史细节,揭开被刻意隐藏的战争真相。1644年,随着督师孙传庭的牺牲,明军已经难以阻挡农民军攻进北京,崇祯皇帝自杀殉国。但这并不意味着明朝的结束。真正的较量才刚刚开始。开幕大戏便是山海关之战。清兵入关杀败农民军入主北京,以大顺军、大西军为主的农民军在清军的追杀下,相继败亡。战争依旧是在明清两军之间展开。南迁之后的明朝,历史上称之为南明。依靠江北四镇军阀建立的南京弘光政权,在清军的攻击下,迅速土崩瓦解。继之而起的福建隆武朝廷依靠军阀建立起来,随着郑芝龙的降清,隆武政权也毁于战火。不久,永历朝廷在广东肇庆建立。李定国连续取得桂林大捷、衡阳大捷,与此同时,郑成功率领的军队在闽浙沿海迅速崛起。南明形成以李定国部、郑成功部为主力的西南、东南两大抗清力量。然而,南明的最大失败在于不能团结一心,一致对外。李定国两厥名王,张名振三入长江,郑成功东南抗清十余年。为挽救危亡,他们竭尽全力,却因种种原因,未能形成合力,始终各自为战。1662年,南明在叹息声中结束,留给后人的思考却很多很多。一衰与一兴之间,究竟还有哪些不为人知的秘密?历史并不那么简单。
