Cette monographie examine la dynamique du développement socio-économique des zones rurales de la frontière russo-biélorusse dans les années 1990 et au début du XXIe siècle. Elle attire l’attention sur les nombreux problèmes rencontrés dans le développement des zones rurales, causés par les expériences socialistes du XXe siècle et les réformes radicales du marché de la période post-soviétique. Les transformations socio-économiques des zones rurales présentent des caractéristiques particulières en Russie et en Biélorussie. Les perspectives d’une intégration optimale des zones rurales de Russie et de Biélorussie dans les processus de mondialisation sont évaluées. L’attention est attirée sur la nécessité d’une transition des zones rurales vers un développement durable.
