Das Hauptziel der Wurzelkanalbehandlung besteht darin, Mikroorganismen aus dem Kanal zu entfernen und eine erneute Kontamination zu verhindern. Aufgrund der komplexen Anatomie des Wurzelkanalsystems ist es jedoch unmöglich, seine Desinfektion allein mit Instrumenten durchzuführen. Daher führt eine Instrumentierung in Kombination mit einer angemessenen Spülung zu besseren Ergebnissen bei der Entfernung von Mikroorganismen. Derzeit werden verschiedene Spüleinrichtungen und -techniken eingesetzt, um die Desinfektion des Wurzelkanalsystems zu verbessern. In diesem Buch werden die Auswirkungen des Endovac-Systems, der passiven Ultraschallspülung und der Kombination aus Endovac und passiver Ultraschallspülung auf das Eindringen von Sealer in die Dentintubuli untersucht und verglichen.
