Dungeons & Alchemist ist ein Forschungsprojekt, das sich mit der Anwendung von Rollenspielen (RPG) im Chemieunterricht befasst. Der Schwerpunkt dieser Arbeit liegt auf der Anwendung als didaktisch-pädagogische Alternative zum Chemieunterricht. Chemie ist manchmal ein schwer verständliches Fach, weshalb es notwendig ist, spielerische Aktivitäten zur Festigung von Inhalten als Alternative im Lehr-Lern-Prozess einzusetzen. Das Rollenspiel ist ein Gruppenspiel, das sich auf der Ebene der Fantasie entwickelt und dazu verwendet werden kann, chemisches Wissen und dessen Anwendbarkeit im Alltag zu testen. Die Entwicklung und Anwendung des Spiels erfolgte in drei Phasen, die als Alpha, Beta und Omega definiert wurden, wobei jede Phase ihre eigenen Regeln hatte, die sich entsprechend der Entwicklungsphase änderten.
