What really goes on behind the scenes in the mysteriousworld of community theatre? Dreamcast is a look at the mostunderpaid volunteers on the planet, those who serve themuse of live theatre in the small towns and suburbs ofAmerica. A local amateur production of 'The Sound ofMusic' unleashes vengeful nuns, a Korean beer connoisseur,a randy director, a flamboyant choreographer, an obsessivestalker, a brat who knows all the songs from 'Wicked' and apot-smoker who lives in a public bathroom. Love/life,comedy/drama, mayhem, backstage drama and onstagetriumph are all here for the price of admission to Dreamcast. This is my first novel and it is on a subject very dear to myheart. I have been doing community theatre since the age of9. Why do I keep doing it? I don’t get paid, in fact it costsme money. The glory is fleeting and the hours are awful. Iwrote this book in part to answer that question.
