O Dr. Ravindra Nanda é professor e Diretor do Departamento de Ciências Craniofaciais e Presidente da Divisão de Ortodontia da Faculdade de Medicina Dentária da Universidade de Connecticut. Faz parte do corpo docente fundador da Faculdade de Medicina Dentária. Está na Universidade de Connecticut desde 1972 e detém uma cadeira de Alumni na Divisão de Ortodontia. É um inovador de vários aparelhos ortodônticos. Os seus interesses clínicos e de investigação incluem a ortodontia de adolescentes e adultos, a biologia da mobilidade dentária, a ortopedia craniofacial, a biomecânica e o desenvolvimento de uma mecânica eficiente para a prestação de cuidados ortodônticos. Atualmente, Nanda é o editor-chefe da Progress in Orthodontics, editor associado do Journal of Clinical Orthodontics e faz parte do conselho editorial de nove revistas nacionais e internacionais de ortodontia. É autor e editor de oito livros didácticos e de mais de 200 publicações e revistas com revisão por pares.
