What starts out as the best summer ever quickly turns into a foul play. D.J. the shortstop for the Diamond Dolls, has the most important tournament of her softball career and it was almost completely derailed. Instead of joining her team for a very important tournament, she must help her Gran pack up her house for the big move.  Finally, back on track, D.J. can join her team at the tournament where she and Jade pull off what they couldn’t in practice, a double play. The Diamond Dolls become the talk of the town, and a target when they make their hometown newspaper.A ball to the face shatters D.J.’s confidence. Fearful, she retreats to outfield, leaving shortstop to her teammate Piper. In the middle of the deciding game for their regions spot for the national tournament, Piper gives up. D.J. is forced back into shortstop. Nervous and afraid D.J. has a breakthrough. Without hesitating or thinking D.J. plays her position and lightning strikes twice! D.J. and Jade pull off their second double play of the summer, shutting down the Homerun Hitters, and securing the Diamond Dolls a spot in the national softball tournament!Let’s Play Ball!
