Numerisch gesteuerte Werkzeugmaschinen und Industrieroboter verfügen im allgemeinen über Bewegungsachsen mit Einrichtungen zur Lageregelung. Zur Umsetzung eines geforderten Bewegungsablaufs haben diese ihren Lageführungsgrößen möglichst verzerrrungsfrei zu folgen. Die 'klassische' Struktur einer Lageregelung mit Proportional-Lagerregler versagt insbesondere dann, wenn die Eigenschwingungen der mechanischen Übertragungsglieder schwach gedämpft sind, da keinerlei Möglichkeiten zur Beeinflussung der Dämpfungseigenschaften vorhanden sind. In diesen Fällen haben sich moderne Regelverfahren, wie z.B. die Zustandsregelung, als wirksam erwiesen, deren praktische industrielle Anwendbarkeit aber nach wie vor problematisch ist. Inhalt dieser wissenschaftlichen Arbeit ist die Entwicklung und Untersuchung von Regelungen und Entwurfsmethoden, die ein befriedigendes Regelverhalten von derartigen Lageregelkreisen auch im praktischen Einsatz gewährleiten.
