Eine Welt, in der wir anders denken, schreiben, lesen, kommunizieren und generell anders leben. Im Grunde genommen hat die Technologie schon immer die Lebensweise der Menschen verändert. Der Einsatz von Technologie führt nicht nur zur Vereinfachung von Aufgaben, sondern beeinflusst auch die Art des Denkens und die Art der geleisteten Arbeit, wobei die Auswirkungen meist enorm und unvorhersehbar sind. Die Erfindung der Schnur, der Drucktechnik, des Telegrafen, des Telefons und der Computertechnik können in die gleiche Richtung bewertet werden; denn jede von ihnen hat mit den Veränderungen, die sie mit sich brachten, einen Wandel im menschlichen Leben bewirkt. Die neuen Informationsmedien, insbesondere das Internet, sind der Grund für die Modernisierung der gesellschaftlichen Prozesse. Diese Technologie hat alle Aspekte des Lebens der Menschen überschattet. Noch wichtiger ist, dass alle, die in die Arbeitswelt eintreten, eine kluge Meinung über das Internet haben müssen.
