Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2008 im Fachbereich Germanistik - Linguistik, Note: 1,75, Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen (Deutsches Seminar), Veranstaltung: Flexionsmorphologie, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Heutzutage werden Substantive, die mit Hilfe der Derivation mit -ung gebildet werden, nur noch in bestimmten semantischen Rahmen erzeugt und benutzt. Zwar gibt es auch hier Ausnahmen, doch sind diese aus früheren Sprachformen des Deutschen übernommen. Abgesehen von diesen Fällen, ist es nicht mehr so einfach wie im Frühneuhochdeutschen, Substantive mit -ung zu bilden. In der Literatur wird zwar rege über die Nominalisierung von Verben mit Hilfe des Suffixes -ung diskutiert, doch kann bis heute nicht klar festgelegt werden, weshalb und wie das Wortbildungspotential der ung-Nominalisierung eingeschränkt ist.
