Sie stellt die Entstehung der „Roda' und den Aufstieg des Samba, den sozialen Kontext seiner Schöpfer und die Veränderungen und Umgestaltungen dieses Musikgenres im Laufe der Zeit vor. Sie befasst sich mit der Frage der Patrimonialisierung in Brasilien, wobei der Schwerpunkt auf den Matrizen liegt, die den Samba von Rio ausmachen - Partido-Alto-Samba, Samba de Terreiro und Samba-Enredo - und zwar durch den Prozess der Registrierung dieser Matrizen als immaterielles Kulturerbe in Brasilien im Jahr 2007. Sie analysiert Interviews mit Musikern, die Mitglieder des Samba da Ouvidor sind, Fragebögen des Publikums und die virtuellen Räume der Roda, wobei sie die Methodik der Inhaltsanalyse anwendet, die auf drei grundlegenden Konzepten basiert, die bei allen Akteuren in diesem Analyseprozess zu finden sind: Identität, affektive Erinnerung und Widerstand. Außerdem wird das Konzept der Samba-Erinnerung im Kontext des Samba da Ouvidor anhand der durchgeführten Analysen und der bei den Roda-Veranstaltungen gesungenen Sambas behandelt. Abschließend wird der Samba da Ouvidor-Baum vorgestellt, eine Art „Mind Map', mit dem Ziel, die Verflechtung der Erinnerungen an den Samba da Ouvidor, die auf der Grundlage der Ergebnisse der durchgeführten Analysen und Studien beschrieben wurden, visuell darzustellen.
