Diese Arbeit soll anhand einer inhaltlichen Analyse und Interpretation des 1997 von Peter Hoeg veröffentlichten Romans Die Frau und der Affe zeigen, dass der Autor hier die beiden konträren Anschauungen zu einer neuen, eigenen Schöpfungsgeschichte verbindet. Dabei stellt sich die Frage nach dem Effekt der neuen Schöpfungsgeschichte. Wie geht der Text mit den biblischen Motiven um und inwiefern weicht Hoegs neue von der biblischen Schöpfungsgeschichte ab? Wie sieht diese neu entwickelte Menschheitsgeschichte aus?
