Diese Arbeit ist eine Untersuchung der Begriffe „Unbestimmtheit', „Ungenauigkeit' und „Vagheit' im Kontext von Wittgensteins Phänomenologie, die in der mittleren Periode des Autors angesiedelt ist. Das Auftreten von vagen Begriffen in phänomenalen Ausdrücken scheint ein zu lösendes Problem zu sein, solange es eine gewisse Unzufriedenheit mit dem Mangel an „Präzision' hervorruft, der ein Merkmal jeder angemessenen Sprache sein sollte. Wir haben einige der Veränderungen im Denken dieses Philosophen vom Tractatus-Logico-Philosophicus bis zum Text Phänomenale Sprache untersucht, um auf der Grundlage von Wittgensteins neuen Ideen während der mittleren Periode Wege zur Überwindung der Fehler zu finden, die er selbst in dem oben genannten Text anprangert.
