Bei der Auseinandersetzung mit Wettbewerbsmechanismen werden soziale Konstruktionsprozesse und Dimensionen der Regulierung herausgearbeitet. Auf dieser Theoriegrundlage wird deutlich, dass das Zusammenspiel von Organisation und Wettbewerb vor allem Diffusionsprozesse begünstigt - also Nachahmung und Übernahme statt genuiner Innovationsfähigkeit.
