Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2007 im Fachbereich Geschichte - Weltgeschichte - Frühgeschichte, Antike, Note: 1,3, Universität Mannheim, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Gegenstand dieser Hausarbeit ist das Leben des Tyrannen Peisistratos, im Besonderen seine Zeit als Tyrann von Athen. In diesem Thema werde ich genauer auf die Frage eingehen, warum Peisistratos es insgesamt drei Mal schafft, die Alleinherrschaft über die Polis Athen zu erreichen und warum er ausgerechnet bei seinem dritten Versuch seine Tyrannis so weit festigen kann, dass er bis zu seinem Lebensende Alleinherrscher über Athen ist und warum er sich dieser Herrschaft nicht schon vorher bemächtigen kann. Im Folgenden werde ich zuerst auf die allgemeine Karriere Peisistratos eingehen und dann die Zeit seiner dritten Tyrannis genauer untersuchen.
