Die Krankengeschichten, aus denen die Auszuge veroffentlicht sind , stammen aus der Gr. Universitatsklinik fiir psychische und nervdse Krank­ heiten zu Giellen und sind vielfach schon im Hinblick auf die eventuelle Behand­ lung dieses Themas gefiihrt, die Strafanstaltsakten aus der Zellenstrafanstalt Butzbach. Zur Herstellung der Nachtrage wurde mir von allen Anstalten, in erster Linie den hessischen Landes- und hessen-nassauischen Provinzial­ Heil- und Pflegeanstalten, die entspreehenden Krankengeschichten bereitwilligst zur Verfiigung gestellt. Fast aIle Heimatbehorden, die ich urn Auskunft uber entlassene Kranke bat, sandten ausfiihrliche Berichte.
