In diesem Dokument wird ein Konzept für das Bohrprogramm des Bohrlochs Dokety-1 (A4-1) erstellt. Es handelt sich um ein abgelenktes Explorationsbohrloch im Doba-Becken im Tschad, das zwei Ziele durchschneiden soll: Kedeni und Mangara, die sich in den Tiefen 9576,44 ft bzw. 9037,4 ft befinden. Um die Studie effizient durchführen zu können, wurde die Bohrtechniksoftware Halliburton Landmark und E-RedBook für den Entwurf des Bohrprogramms verwendet. Die Arbeit wurde nach einem genauen Designprozess durchgeführt: Zuerst wurde der Bohrpfad mit der COMPASSTM-Software entworfen, dann wurde das Verrohrungsprogramm mit der StressCheckTM- und CasingSeatTM-Software erstellt, wobei alle Worst-Case-Szenarien berücksichtigt wurden, die die Verrohrung destabilisieren könnten, einschließlich eines Druckstoßes für die Berstfestigkeit und eines Verlusts von Bohrflüssigkeit für die Quetschfestigkeit. Es folgte die Konzeption des Zementierungsprogramms, der Bohrspülung und des Bohrwerkzeugs. Abschließend wurde mithilfe der Software WellCostTM eine detaillierte Schätzung der Bohrdauer und -kosten vorgenommen.
