Paul Watzlawick benannte 1974 die Axiome der Kommunikation. Watzlawick hat Philosophie, Philologie und Psychologie studiert und war Professor in El Salvador und an der Stanford University. Um die fünf Axiome zu beschreiben muss man von vornherein festhalten, dass „[...]die beiden Begriffe Kommunikation und Verhalten hier als praktisch gleichbedeutend [...]' verwendet werden.1 Ich werde die Axiome im folgenden erläutern und an Hand verschiedener Beispiele anschaulich verständlich machen.
