As doenças da osteoartrite (OAD) ocorrem nas articulações do joelho, nas regiões lombar, cervical e da anca. A nível mundial, estas doenças são um dos principais problemas de saúde. Ocorrem devido à idade, à obesidade, a lesões que afectam os músculos e os ossos, à postura de trabalho, etc. O objetivo é desenvolver as ferramentas para o diagnóstico e a prevenção da dor nas DAO e a sua normalização através de um protocolo fitoterapêutico tópico com tratamento especializado. Os presentes resultados indicam um estudo pioneiro de novos parâmetros de diagnóstico da dor para a recuperação completa da osteoartrite do joelho e a prevenção da fase inicial da doença osteoartrítica na articulação do joelho através de um protocolo fototerapêutico, tal como evidenciado por observações anatómicas, perfis bioquímicos e dados radiográficos.
