La satisfaction au travail est un concept complexe et global qui diffère d’un individu à l’autre en fonction de leur satisfaction au travail. La plupart des études de recherche sur la satisfaction au travail ont été menées dans le contexte des industries manufacturières et de diverses industries de services. L’étude de la satisfaction au travail et la relation entre la satisfaction au travail et les performances professionnelles n’ont pas été explorées de manière approfondie dans le contexte d’institutions de services telles que les établissements d’enseignement. Dans cette étude, nous avons tenté de déployer un questionnaire MJC modifié pour étudier les facteurs influençant la satisfaction au travail parmi les membres du corps enseignant d’un établissement affilié, public ou privé, proposant des programmes d’ingénierie au niveau du premier cycle. L’étude met en évidence un modèle causal (modèle d’équation structurelle (SEM)), incorporant les cinq dimensions des caractéristiques du travail et les trois états psychologiques critiques proposés par Hackman et Oldham. Dans cette étude, ces dimensions sont considérées sur la base de leur importance et des facteurs qui motivent les enseignants en interne pour leur satisfaction professionnelle.
