Le composite fer-carbure de fer peut être utilisé dans des applications nécessitant une grande solidité, une grande dureté et une grande résistance à l’usure. Dans ce travail, le composite fer-carbure de fer a été synthétisé avec succès par une méthode d’alliage mécanique dans un broyeur planétaire à double dérivation suivi d’un frittage conventionnel. L’effet du temps de broyage sur la formation de carbure de fer pour un mélange de poudre de fer et de graphite a été étudié et les propriétés du composite synthétisé ont été caractérisées et évaluées.
