The extractions of the essential oils were carried out by hydrodistillation in a Clevenger apparatus, and the hydroalcoholic extracts by maceration, followed by lyophilization. The nanoemulsions and the facial serum were prepared by the phase inversion method and submitted to stress tests to evaluate the stability. The final product was analyzed for spectrophotometric quantification of total phenols (TPC), total flavonoids (TFC), total tannins (TTC) and vitamin C, as well as the evaluation of antioxidant (DPPH, ABTS and FRAP methods) and anti-inflammatory in vitro (albumin denaturation) activities. The phytochemical characterization of the serum revealed a significant content of phenolic compounds (160.47 mg EAT/g) and flavonoids (17.27 mg EQ/g), evidencing the efficiency of the extraction process and the final formulation. In biological assays, the formulation was classified as very active, exhibiting exceptional antioxidant potential, with IC50 values of 1.18 mg/L for DPPH, 0.76 mg/L for ABTS and 0.00346 mg/L for FRAP, in addition to significant anti-inflammatory activity (IC50 of 40.37 mg/L).
