O manganês é um elemento essencial à vida, estando envolvido em inúmeros processos indispensáveis ao metabolismo celular. No entanto, existem compostos de manganês que têm efeitos nocivos para o homem e para o ambiente, sendo atualmente considerado um poluente emergente. O vinho é considerado a bebida nacional da Argentina e possui uma matriz complexa de compostos orgânicos e inorgânicos que lhe conferem propriedades organolépticas únicas. É por isso que o controlo do manganês no vinho é tão importante para a saúde. Por estas razões, o objetivo do presente trabalho foi desenvolver uma nova metodologia analítica altamente sensível, combinando nanopartículas de prata funcionalizadas por fluorescência em fase sólida para a determinação de Mn(II) em diferentes amostras de vinho.
