Le présent travail comprend les détails de la construction d’un magnétomètre à échantillon vibrant (VSM) à faible coût utilisant un électroaimant et un haut-parleur audio, tous deux contrôlés par une unité d’acquisition de données. Le VSM construit enregistre la boucle d’hystérésis magnétique des matériaux étudiés sous un champ magnétique appliqué jusqu’à 8,3 kG à température ambiante. L’appareil a été calibré et testé à l’aide des données d’hystérésis magnétique de certains échantillons de ferrite mesurées par deux magnétomètres calibrés scientifiquement : le modèle (Lake Shore 7410) et le modèle (LDJ Electronics Inc. Troy, MI). Notre nouvelle conception du VSM construit en laboratoire s’est avérée efficace et fiable.
