Janine Bentz-Hölzl entwickelt Grundlagen für einen Weltklimavertrag, der die Rechte und Pflichten von Staaten in der internationalen Klimapolitik definiert und den Anspruch an Klimagerechtigkeit erfüllt. Distributive und korrektive Gerechtigkeitsansprüche heutiger und künftiger Generationen werden gegenübergestellt, um einen neuen Lösungsansatz zu entwickeln. Dieser sieht eine gerechte Verteilung der Nutzungsrechte an der Ressource Atmosphäre vor und begründet gleichzeitig ein faires „burden sharing' der Kosten des Klimawandels. Für die Realisierung des Weltklimavertrages wird die Schaffung einer internationalen Organisation für Klima und Umwelt sowie eines Globalen Umweltgerichtshofes begründet.
