A comunicação e a tecnologia (TIC), a utilização da Internet e a sua taxa de penetração entre os estudantes universitários estão a crescer em número, uma vez que criam melhores oportunidades de ensino e aprendizagem. No entanto, a utilização inadequada da Internet pode provocar algumas alterações patológicas em termos de alterações físicas e mentais nos utilizadores da Internet, especialmente nos estudantes.
