Durante el periodo 2017 – 2021, trabajaron de manera conjunta las carreras de Arquitectura, Diseño de Interiores, Diseño Gráfico, e Ingeniería Civil para cumplir con el objetivo principal de llevar una consultoría urbano - arquitectónica e identitaria-cultural en beneficio de las comunidades de las cooperativas Virgen del Cisne y 25 de Julio que habitan el cerro San Eduardo.Como una publicación científica para la divulgación de resultados del proyecto, este libro busca sintetizar aquellos pasos que hicieron posible su desarrollo, mostrando diversas fases, tales como: la metodología a nivel académico y social, el análisis para generar un diagnóstico a escala barrial, y finalmente, las soluciones implícitas en el Plan de Intervención Urbana (PIU). No obstante, el libro también tiene la intención de que su contenido pueda servir como una guía para poder desarrollar proyectos que vinculan procesos académicos y de vinculación con el desarrollo de un grupo social.En el contenido de sus capítulos el lector podrá encontrar los resultados de un proyecto de vinculación que superó ampliamente las metas propuestas y ha logrado consolidarse progresivamente hasta el punto de proyectarse a futuro como un programa social que nace de la UCSG como Academia y que permite la territorialización de sus funciones sustantivas y sus dominios académicos “del aula a la comunidad”.
