De forma mais pessoal, ele enfoca a experiência transformadora do autor enquanto fazia parte de uma comunidade de dança haitiana no Brooklyn, Nova Iorque. A dança haitiana está enraizada na cultura haitiana, que incorpora a história do povo haitiano, mitologia, deuses, música, rituais e cerimónias. Esta pesquisa hermenêutica examina a dança haitiana como uma forma de acessar o inconsciente somático e apoiar a cura psicológica e a individuação. A pesquisa descreve a experiência somática das energias arquetípicas, da consciência incorporada e dos mitos através da dança haitiana e como isso melhora a cura. Além disso, esta tese explica como a aula de dança haitiana da autora proporciona cura tanto para indivíduos quanto para a comunidade a partir de uma perspectiva da psicologia da libertação.
