Des études ont été réalisées pour trouver des espèces végétales appropriées qui possèdent les enzymes adéquates pour dégrader les substances colorées : Polyalthialongifolia et PhyllanthusNiruri et l’immobilisation de l’activité enzymatique présente dans cette plante. Ces enzymes ont été immobilisées en utilisant de l’alginate de sodium et du chlorure de calcium car les enzymes immobilisées sont plus stables. Une analyse spectrophotométrique a été réalisée pour déterminer la dégradation du colorant.
