Dear Parent or Guardian,We are pleased to inform you that your child has been selected to join our two week Outward Bound Expedition across the Dartmoor moors. This programme is suitable for students aged thirteen and over and is designed to support the development expected within the Young Adult stage. The trip aims to build confidence, teamwork and real world skills in a challenging outdoor environment.All attending students are asked to pack sensibly. Please include:• suitable footwear• a warm coat• a full water bottle• a flash light• plenty of snacksA full kit list will be supplied at a later date.We hope this experience helps develop bravery, courage, determination, leadership and other qualities that will serve your child well in the future. The moors offer a valuable chance for students to explore responsibility and problem solving far from the distractions of everyday life.For supervising adults, we recommend bringing the same qualities.You are going to need them.We look forward to a safe and enriching journey for all who attend.
