DEAD IN MY SIGHT An exciting story of a boy that comes from Sicily to the United States with his parents during World War I and grows up in New England. He likes to hunt and shoot and loves Firearms. His main ambition is to design weapons so he enlists in the Marines to learn all he can about these weapons. He becomes a deadly Expert Sharpshooter in his training with the Marine Corps at Parris Island but because of peacetime his extended training puts him in the newly formed Amphibious Division of the Marine Corps. He is transferred to the Hawaiian Islands to train the amphibious force whether Army or Marines. While in Hawaii he designs a deadly and accurate sniper’s rifle and builds a model with a fellow Marine. After the attack on Pearl Harbor throwing the United States into war he is drafted into the OSS the espionage agency activated during World War II. Because of his expertise in the languages of Italian, French and German and his ability to hit targets at great distances he spends the War behind enemy lines constantly destroying and sabotaging warehouses, truck convoys and rail transportation systems. He also was called upon to eliminate high-ranking officers and enemies of the allied forces. His espionage work carried him through North Africa, Sicily, Italy. France, Germany and finally Switzerland to assassinate a German high-ranking officer fleeing to a country with no extradition with accumulated money extorted while running a concentration camp.
