In hoc secundo libro, Lactantius disputat de vera religione, quae est Christiana, et de falsa religione, quae est pagana. Auctor ostendit quomodo Christiana religio est vera et divina, et quomodo religiones paganae sunt falsae et humanae. Lactantius etiam defendit Christianam religionem contra argumenta et obiectiones gentilium, et ostendit quomodo Christiani possunt convincere paganos de falsitate suae religionis.
